A U.S. Coast Guard approval number will be assigned to the equipment when the production module has been completed and will appear on the production module
certificate (module D, E or F), as allowed by the “Agreement between the United States of America and the EEA EFTA states on the mutual recognition of Certificates
of Conformity for Marine Equipment” signed 17 October 2005, and amended by Decision No 1/2019 dated February 22nd, 2019.
The mark of conformity may only be affixed to the above type approved equipment and a Manufacturer’s Declaration of Conformity issued when the
production-surveillance module (D, E or F) of Annex B of the MED is fully complied with and controlled by a written inspection agreement with a Notified
Body. The product liability rests with the manufacturer or his representative in accordance with Directive 2014/90/EU.
This certificate is valid for equipment, which is conform to the approved type. The manufacturer shall inform DNV AS of any changes to the approved
equipment. This certificate remains valid unless suspended, withdrawn, recalled or cancelled.
Should the specified regulations or standards be amended during the validity of this certificate, the product is to be re-approved before being placed on
board a vessel to which the amended regulations or standards apply.

“Roxtec sealing system with multidiameter technology: GH-, RS- and R-series (sandwich panel)”
Roxtec sealing system with multidiameter technology: the GH-series is filled with Roxtec halogen free RM modules (RM,
RM Ex, RM FOC, RM ES, RM ES B, RM PE, RM PE B, RM BG, RM BG B, RM ES Ex, RM ES B Ex, RM PE Ex, RM ES
B Ex , RM BG Ex, RM BG B Ex), assembled with Roxtec Wedge, Roxtec ES Wedge, Roxtec Ex Wedge or Roxtec ES
Ex Wedge and corresponding stayplates. The GH-series is bolted to the sandwich panel.
Roxtec sealing system with multidiameter technology: the R-Series sealing system consist of a rubber frame filled with
Roxtec halogen free RM modules (RM, RM Ex, RM ES, RM ES B, RM PE, RM PE B, RM BG, RM BG B, RM ES Ex, RM
ES B Ex, RM PE Ex, RM ES B Ex , RM BG Ex, RM BG B Ex.). The R-seal is installed into a steel sleeve that is bolted to
the sandwich panel.
Roxtec sealing system with multidiameter technology: the RS cable penetration seal consist of two halves with
removable layers making it adaptable to a single cable of different diameters. It is available in different versions, RS, RS
OMD, RS EMC or RS EX, depending on application. The RS-seal is installed into a steel sleeve that is bolted to the
sandwich panel.

Application/Limitation
The penetrations are approved for use as a cable penetration system for approved ship cables in non-loadbearing
A-60/A-30 bulkheads made of sandwich panels type C.I.S-100 (A-60) manufactured by Norac AS with a thickness of
100 mm and a density of 150 kg/m3 or type G21 Fire Panel (A-60) manufactured by Interdam with a thickness of 100
mm and a density of 120 kg/m3 or equivalent constructed sandwich panels with A-60 rating.

The insulation material used has to be approved according to the Marine Equipment Directive and bear the Mark of
Conformity.
Each product is to be supplied with its manual for installation and maintenance.
