Request about use a combination of multi-layer and solid modules as spares

I hole all is well with you!

I would like to request about use a combination of multi-layer and solid modules as spares.
The customer wants to use only a part of the multi-layer module based on the module in which the cable is inserted and use solid modules for the rest.
It would be nice if there is a function that can designate the Spare space as % by mixing the multi-layer module and solid module.

(Example)

  • Some % of the modules with cables inserted are multi-layer modules, other Solid
  • % based on Spare are multi-layer modules, and other solid
  • Specify spare as multi-layer modules by % for each module where the cable is inserted, and other solid

If these features can be added, it would be very helpful in designing.
Thanks

Hello Junghye,

Sorry for the late reply.

The team is currently working on updating the module settings, so in the future we will be able to add a feature like this.

I dont have a current timeline for this, but i will keep you posted!

I would like to inquire about the progress regarding this matter.

Currently, out of more than 100 transits, 20% should be designed as multi-layer modules based on the module where the cable is inserted, and the rest should be designed as solid modules. It is taking too much time to do this one by one, so I apologize for inquiring again.

My personal opinion is that spare capacity should only apply in the case of multi-layer modules, so the percentage can remain the same. I would appreciate it if there could be two checkboxes for ‘Use solids as spare’ - one for ‘as spares 100%’ and the other for 'as spare capacity %.

Hello Junghye,

This feature is planned for the future. The team is currently busy working on other features that need to be completed first.

So I am afraid I cant offer any timeline for this right now.
