RM90 handling when importing RTD backup files

Hi, I would like to ask a question regarding RM90 handling in RTD.

1. Background
In a previous customer project, the transit design was completed using RM90 modules via RTD.

Now, the customer is working on a similar project and plans to reuse the previous design by downloading the RTD backup file and importing it again.

However, as RM90 has been discontinued and removed from RTD,
we would like to clarify how existing designs are handled.

Questions.

  1. When importing a backup file that originally includes RM90 modules,
how does RTD process those modules?

  2. Will the RM90 modules remain as they were in the original design?

  3. Or will they be automatically converted to RM80?

  4. If conversion happens, how is the space/layout affected?
(e.g., change in packing or empty space)

Additional note: Due to customer IT/security policies,

downloading and reusing RTD backup files is somewhat restricted, so we would appreciate a clear and definite answer to guide the customer properly.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Hello Huisu,

We are looking into this and will get back to you shortly.

There is no automatic conversion to RM90 modules, this applies to transits restored from backups as well.

You will be able to access the transit and download a BOM etc.

If you change solution or if you try and repack the transit, then the RM90 modules wont be available and will be replaced with RM80 instead.

Hope this answers your questions, if not just let me know!
